What is Mama-Kii™ tea?

Mama-Kii™ is the name brand, of the company Mamaki of Hawaii, which grows and distributes an ancient healing herbal tea known as Pipturus albidus, also known as mamaki in Hawaii.  Mamaki tea is a species of flowering plant in the nettle family, Urticaceae, that is endemic to Hawaii.  The plant, although in the nettle family, is a needleless nettle plant that inhabits mostly tropical coastal regions and elevations of 200-6,000 feet.  Mamaki is a small plant that reaches a height of 30 feet and can continue to thrive for an upwards of 35 years.
